Outreach Teacher - Primary & Secondary Teaching.

Company: Hartmore Education Ltd, Staunton, Gloucestershire.

Location: School sites at Hartpury, Rudford and Gloucester Central. Gloucestershire.
Please note the role as 'Outreach Teacher' will require travel to third party sites in order to provide necessary education to children unable to attend Hartmore sites.  
Salary: Band Range M1-M6. £30,000.00-£46,607.00 per annum.
             (Term time only, 39 weeks a year).
          Job Type: Full Time. Permanent.

Role Overview

  Hartmore is going through exciting developments. We have recently expanded our provisions and grown in size. We are looking for a confident teacher who can support our Primary Team as well as be integral to our new Home/School online and outreach provision. As well as teaching Primary in school, we are looking for a teacher to deliver aspects of Secondary online learning and co-ordinate visits and outreach activities with a small number of pupils who require education at home for the short term, whilst they transition back to a smaller setting in our provision. As an overview the successful candidate will:

  • Work with pupils that display Emotionally Based School Avoidance/Anxiety (EBSA), helping remove barriers to learning and allowing pupils to reach their full potential. 

  • Represent the school as part of the outreach team, alongside teach and organising Home/School learning ( to include virtual and online delivery).

  • To work with individual pupils on a small group basis with some 1:1 sessions in order to remove barriers to learning, improve attendance and support the re-integration of pupils in school settings.

  • To support the PEP and EHCP’s for individual pupils, including liaison with other agencies as appropriate. In addition to making appropriate educational provision for children with SEN and those learning EAL, with support from the SENCo and EMA Co-ordinators.

  • Teach and assist as part of the Primary teaching team whilst joining a team of teachers that including subject specialists.

  • An individual with a positive demeanour to assist both teachers and learners.

  • A caring and emotionally resilient nature, with a strong commitment to safeguarding.

  • Creative, practical, or interpersonal skills such as music, sport, crafting, or tutoring add value to your application.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • 21 years of age or older.

  • A valid UK manual driving licence (essential for transporting young people).

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (company funded).​​
