School Business Manager.

Company: Hartmore Education Ltd, Staunton, Gloucestershire.

Location: School sites at Hartpury, Rudford and Gloucester Central. Gloucestershire.
With a requirement to work across sites accordingly.
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 FTE (£38,000 – £40,000 actual) per annum.
             (Term time only plus five days. 39 weeks a year).
          Job Type: Full Time. Permanent. 

About Us

 

  Established in 1992, Hartmore School was founded to support children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and we continue to build on this mission today. We are a growing specialist independent day school, providing primary and secondary education for up to 98 boys and girls aged 7 to 18. Many of our pupils live with their families and experience anxiety or a complex mix of additional needs. The school provides a calm, therapeutic approach to help pupils build positive relationships, enjoy learning, and make a real difference in their lives.

 

Role Overview

  Hartmore School is an exciting and thriving SEN school, currently undergoing significant developments as we expand the support and opportunities we provide for children across the sector. As a successful and friendly school, we offer rewarding and stimulating learning experiences that make a real difference to our pupils’ academic progress and personal growth. With four provisions across three sites, we are supported by a cohesive and structured leadership team, and we are looking for a School Business Manager who is enthusiastic, passionate, and ready to contribute to the continued growth and success of our school community.

 

As an overview the successful candidate will:

  • To actively model and promote the values and ethos of the School.

  • To be responsible for strategic planning in relation to the business and support services of the School, including all financial implications, and ensuring that the School uses its resources effectively and efficiently at all times.

  • As a member of the Leadership Team to be responsible for: creating and delivering a shared corporate strategic vision; raising standards of learning and teaching; building capacity across the workforce; improving organisation structures and functions so the school remains fit for purpose; building and sustaining effective relationships and communications strategies; working with the community and other services to improve the outcomes and well being of pupils.

  • To generate and co-ordinate new income streams which are supportive of the ethos of the school.  

  • To monitor and manage the admissions and referrals of pupils to the school and liaise with LA SEND Commissioning teams.

  • Maintain accurate pupil records, including attendance, medical, and safeguarding information on a Management Information System (Bromcom).

  • To lead public examinations for the school.

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratly within the wider leadership team. 

  • A creative and innovative individual with a positive demeanour to assist both teachers and learners.

  • A caring and emotionally resilient nature, with a strong commitment to safeguarding.

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • 21 years of age or older.

  • Enhanced DBS clearance (company funded).​​
